About Us

Young green plant shoots growing in soil with a measuring tape showing height.

What is Mojave Experimental?

We are a self-funded UNA (Unincorporated Nonprofit) on the western edge of the Mojave Desert in USDA Section 9a/b. Our goal is to prove that with minimal engineering and costs, people can build and develop their own edible garden landscapes, regardless of where they are located.

Crop Selection

Understanding where you live, what the climate is like, and what plants thrive naturally in that environment helps. Like Dragon Fruit cactus in the backyard.

Timing & Seasons

Many crops can be grown anywhere with the right substrate and climate. Knowing the right time to plant is everything. Like growing corn stalks in your front courtyard.
